Urban Markers
An educational platform with focus on urban environment of shrinking cities
UrbanMarkers is an educational platform for general discussion of the theme “Spatial Realities” and the wider discourse around cities, peripheries, culture, communities, architecture and urban planning.
UrbanMarkers is based on the results of the project “BRĂILA LABORATORY – Alternative approaches to urban peripheries within a shrinking city (B-LAB)” financed through SEE Grants in the framework of the “Promotion of Diversity in Culture and Arts within European Cultural Heritage” program.

The book gathers the research and small urban regeneration projects developed in the Romanian city Braila by the team of students and teachers.
4 exhibitions in Braila and Bucharest
Each phase of the research project was finished with an exhibition where the involved community participated.
The main exhibition took place at Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest as part of the bigger event Srinking Cities, in July 2016.
Versatile visual language
The visual language is symbiotically linked to the content. The visual system is coherent yet allows creative freedom for further development of printed or digital materials.
