More than a film festival, a platform for dialogue about the places we live in.
UrbanEye is the first Romanian festival dedicated to urban environment.
The branding focus was to bring the niche of architecture movies closer to a wider public.
Its visual identity was built as a ludic interpretation of the urban grid morphed into an unique typography that defines the event.
The logo is complemented by a visual language of sharp, architectural shapes soften by the playful way in which negative space and colours are used.

UrbanEye Character
The character created for the festival is inspired by Rene Magritte’s man with the bowler hat. He is the watcher over the city, that are investigated through the festival, a collective character that can impersonate anyone of us.
The surreal world created for the festival gives an open approach to urban space, it can be influenced by our vision and imagination.
The identity of the first 3 editions of UrbanEye Film Festival were developed around the play between negative space, scale, 2d and 3d space.
